Dr Michael Kennedy is one of Victoria’s most successful chief executive officers. He has an extensive record of leading major reform, innovation and performance improvement programs delivering ‘more and better for less’, in a range of private sector and public sector environments, consistently achieving challenging strategic and financial performance objectives.

In the private sector, Michael Kennedy has led major innovation, change and re-structuring programs in shipping, transport, logistics and manufacturing in large national businesses.

In the public sector, he has led major governance and performance reforms in local government, with a focus on innovation to drive improved responsiveness and productivity. He has contributed to state government reforms in a range of portfolios including public transport, land use planning, sustainability, roads, ports, education and employment, through membership of Ministerial councils/committees.

Michael is currently a program leader with the Bus Association of Victoria, and also lectures in management at masters level.
