Long is a Lecturer with the Department of Engineering at La Trobe University. He holds a PhD in Transport Engineering from Monash University and a Master of Engineering in Transport Systems from University of South Australia. Prior to joining La Trobe University, he worked for Australian Road Research Board (ARRB), Monash University, Directorate for Roads of Vietnam (DRVN), and Hanoi University of Transport and Communications. Long received the SIDRA SOLUTIONS Postgraduate Award from the Institute of Transportation Engineers, Australia and New Zealand Section (ITEANZ) in 2018, and the Prestige Grant from the World Conference on Transport Research Society (WCTRS) in 2016. He was also a recipient of the prestigious Prime Minister’s Australia Asia Endeavour Award.
