Maryam is a motivated individual who completed her master’s studies in urban planning at the University of Tehran, Iran. During her time there, she became deeply interested in the topic of public transport and decided to make it the focus of her master’s thesis. Her master’s thesis assessed Transport-Related Social Exclusion (TRSE) after operating a new metro station in one of the settlements (Chahardange) close to Tehran.
Eager to continue her education and build on her research, Maryam has since decided to pursue a PhD in public transport at Monash University. She is currently undertaking her PhD study in public transport and teenagers: The role of public transport in facilitating independent travel among pre-driving teenagers.
