Planning Public Transport Services Short Course 2024 – 19-22nd Nov. Melbourne
The course provides the ultimate guide to public transport planning, operations and policy. It combines traditional operations and new approaches to service planning to find solutions to difficult and persistent problems in public transport.
The course is run in Europe most years but in 2024 we bring key international professionals Niels van Oort and Avishai Ceder to Melbourne to bring new thinking and developments to the local market. In addition we add Liton Kamruzzaman, a recognised national leader in transport and land use planning, to talk about linking public transport with land use in cities.
The course is provided by the Monash University Public Transport Research Group, in association with the Smart Public Transport Lab at Delft University of Technology and the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology.
The course is run the week before the Australasian Transport Research Forum in Melbourne (Nov 27-29) [www.https://www.atrf2024.com/] and is held at the same CBD venue. Visitors might like to combine the events to make the most of staying in Melbourne.
The course is relevant to all involved in planning and running public transport including state agencies, operators and Local Government.
