Andrew is a passionate advocate for achieving better economic, social and environmental outcomes for the Victorian community through innovative, world-leading transport and engineering practices that respects both current and future generations.

Andrew has extensive senior level leadership and management experience. This experience covers a wide range of staff from road workers to professional and technical staff, and includes directly managing teams of between 5 and 20 staff, up to a Division with 8 Directors and over 500 staff.

Andrew has a long history of innovative thinking and problem solving, including leading the development of SmartRoads, a framework for resolving the competing demands for road space between cars, trucks, buses, trams, bikes, pedestrians and abutting land uses. This framework has recently been expanded to be the basis of Victoria’s Movement & Place framework.

Andrew has well developed communication skills across a wide range of mediums and to a wide range of audiences.

Throughout his career, Andrew has have been involved in leading numerous change projects, including process and system changes, culture change and organisational change.

Andrew has extensive experience in the areas of transport planning, asset management, traffic engineering, road safety, bridge design, road construction and maintenance and road network operations.

Andrew has represented VicRoads at a national level through Austroads on Asset Management and the Austroads Network Task Force.
