Chris De Gruyter is a Vice-Chancellor’s Research Fellow in the Centre for Urban Research at RMIT University, and a former Research Fellow at Monash University. His research is exploring the impact of new development on public transport. Chris has 12 years experience as a transport planner, both with the Victorian government and in consulting. His research interests span the areas of travel demand management, public transport and land use planning. In 2015, Chris received the Emerging Transport Professional of the Year Award from the Institute of Transportation Engineers, Australia and New Zealand Section.
